Although it's the same scans group, from chaps 10 onwards, the translations changes and is weird. I liked it a lot before the changes. I won't drop the webtoon itself, I'll wait for future development or an official translation.
So ... can someone explain how they managed to know about the boys survival years after the fact? Also even if the son is gone, why does the half brother have the higher claim to the throne compared to the actual brother?

Spoiler: To answer your first question. I think it's said that Sasha and his (adopted)"mother" were missing and after searching for a long time presumed dead. Calix received a letter at the beginning of the story that his brothers "son" was still alive and he began the search again.
The second question. Yeah, that family dynamic is confusing af. I'm not sure if it's the translation or the writing. I'm pretty sure the current emperor is calix's father's half brother (so Calix's uncle). Calix doesn't have a strong enough claim in the eyes of the nobles because his mother was a commoner and a dancer.
I also saw a line where they described him as Calix's Father's step brother, but that wouldn't make sense because then the uncle wouldn't have any claim to the throne.
One other thing that is weird is that Sasha might not be Calix's brothers kid. There's a chapter where they said the previous empress consort asked Calix's brother to take the child and raise him as his own. So I'm not sure if Sasha is technically Calix's brother from another mother or I misread something and Calix's brother had 2 wives.

so tldr: a lot of confusion. Thanks regardless for the explanation attempt. ... As for the letter. Well, i think reacting to such a thing by publishing that knowledge is f*ing stupidity, especially since i would expect a grand duke to have his own spy army, but oh well.
