The only thing she has in common with their dead sister is the hair color. We never saw the color of the sister's eyes since they were always closed in flashback. Her eyes were probably blue like the mother and the younger brother. Technically we have no way of knowing how similar their faces are since it's a drawing and all their faces are basically the same. She lived in the same house as Johan for longer than she lived with Eugene so technically he is as much her brother as Johan

@Raymua92 ikr!! idk why people are so mad. it isn't healthy. the hints about Eugene being ML were dropped very early, yet it's chapter 50 and all of you are still here popping veins 😭

trust me, it's easy to just drop a series you don't like. i've done that so often, when i don't like the ML, i'd complain a bit to get it off my chest, then leave and move on. So i find a manhwa/manga that's more to my liking and more importantly with an ML that i like. it's easy, trust me 😭
(also yeah this is to refer to those people, not you whose comment i replied hehe!)

honestly i'm Team Whoever It Is That Will Make Her Happy (i woudn't even mind if it's suddenly Guard Bishop lol)
But lately i've been leaning towards Eugene, because the angst!! the angst makes it so beautiful and sad that i want them to fix what went wrong in their past life. Eugene and Hari deserve to be happy, and it's clear since forever that they were and are only happy with each other, whether it's then, or now. So, please get together in this lifetime!

Yes, I agree with everyone, what make them so beautiful is because their family's circumstances. Eugene and Hari are the one who keep their family together. Other brothers only act as morale support for them. It's fair and all and I don't hate the development between Eugene and Hari.

I know this is one of those alternate universe type settings with magic and a different history and everything, but seeing women's gowns from around the 18th century or so (Hari and the other girls' gowns in this chapter) and party dresses from the 1950s (Hari's clothes during the banquet in a previous chapter) in the same setting keeps throwing me off. 😅

Okay, it's not incest because they're not biological siblings and they didn't grow up together, but it's still weird... although I like the story.

I understand it is frustrating for a lot of people here...wether you're on Eugene or someone else's ship.
I'm gonna tell you why I keep reading while not feeling right with Eugene being the ML:
I want to know how the author will make it feel right in the end. That's for me the core of the story: how to persuade readers the ML is the right choice.
This story is interesting BECAUSE the ML is not in the easy-to-accept-when-you-actually-know-more position. It feels unnatural (in the sense awkward), can be considered immoral (even if they're not blood-related they've been raised as siblings. You're not gonna tell adopted children the siblings they've always had are not really that, right?), and the author keeps on adding delicate situations (such as their messed up square triangle with engagements involved).
So what I'm curious about is not who is right for Hari, but how would the author make Eugene a good match for her. It appears here they already developped feelings for each other, and it will be another delicate thorn to accept to deny the relationship they already have and make it acceptable for their families (at least). I just hope author takes his/her time to explain all the tiny steps they take very clearly and doesn't "make it happen" without really dropping hints or show the evolution for everyone.
