Hello everyone, and welcome to my 10,000th post.
10k comments marks my retirement. i'm naming @Child_Trader as my successor, so treat him well
As I'm sure you're already aware, I made a binding vow back in the Heian Era to retire once I reached 10k messages since a perfect "Messages: 10,000" would just look so cool on my profile. I hope you all will come to understand my decision in time.
Oh yeah and since @Child_Trader is in the can with no internet access I'm naming my actual successor as @MinecraftStoryModeLover.
Though my title says "HATER," I'm quite fond of this place—so much of my time here has truly been invaluable—like that time where... or, or that one time when...
...Anyway, here are the 10,000th posts of other users on the site, the respective threads they were posted in, and the users' current post counts as of writing this:

This doesn't look like a very effective education system.

Mansplaining is just an excuse to dismiss an argument without actually accepting it on the basis of sex and the person saying, rather than the merits of the point itself.
Meaning, it's just making yourself intentionally ignorant by not heeding their advice because you view their advice as coming from some sense of self-aggrandizement, and not genuine concern or wanting to help someone out.
Also, by your flowchart, any male teacher that teaches female students would be "probably mansplaining." Interesting.

I think one the best pieces of wisedom I ever heard from the Tao Te Ching, specifically this passage:
When a country obtains great power,
it becomes like the sea:
all streams run downward into it.
The more powerful it grows,
the greater the need for humility.
Humility means trusting the Tao,
thus never needing to be defensive.
A great nation is like a great man:
When he makes a mistake, he realizes it.
Having realized it, he admits it.
Having admitted it, he corrects it.
He considers those who point out his faults
as his most benevolent teachers.
He thinks of his enemy
as the shadow that he himself casts.
If a nation is centered in the Tao,
if it nourishes its own people
and doesn't meddle in the affairs of others,
it will be a light to all nations in the world.
As someone who has drawn a lot from Eastern Philosophies and ideas, specifically Buddhism and Taoism, I find things like pride and the constant self-congratulatory nature of a lot of modern society and social media really, really destructive. People are too swayed and influenced by their desire to be constantly affirmed and validated, regardless of if that validation is genuine or empty, and regardless of whether or not that criticism and tough love will ultimately lead them down a better and more healthy path and mindset, rather than the constant appraisal of oneself and the disregarding of those who criticize you as "toxic" or with a thousand other buzzwords whose sole purpose to dismiss arguments without actually countering them. It is for this reason I believe hubris and closed-mindedness to be more destructive than anything else in the world.

Japanese RPGs are often known to be difficult, with harsh boss fights, yet 99% of all shounen/seinen isekai LN/manga has the difficulty level of watching on Youtube as some master gamer clears a game 100% on an edited video (all deaths and failures cut out). It's quite bizarre.
Kaarme's 20k — GATE - Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri - Vol. 23 Ch. 124.6 - Cooking
Despite not being from a polytheism culture like the Japanese, I think I'd go drop an offering at her shrine if she was personally sitting there, waiting for treats. It's just such a funny sight.
And now it's time for the best part: the AMA!
I haven't done one of these before so I'm really looking forward to it. I won't answer questions that would dox me of course, but pretty much anything else is fair game. Ask away!
