He does raise an interesting philosophical dilemma with that question about martial artists that can fight barehanded. This isn't the only sort of time or place that swords wouldn't be allowed somewhere, but really a martial artist's entire body is a weapon as well. If they aren't asked to refrain from entering despite basically being equivalent to a sword themselves, then what really is the point of that practice? Supposedly observing a ritual practice here, but again it seems to easy to argue that someone who has killed with their bare hands probably shouldn't be allowed to slip on through. For other cases, I suppose it's just security theater, like things the TSA does that don't actually make anyone any safer in general, but at least it looks like they're doing something about it.
