this is just such an interesting series, it feels like when I was reading dorohedoro the first time, even though they are nothing alike they have that same weridness

OK THIS CHAPTER MAKES SO MUCH FUCKING SENSE HOLY SHIT,
YO THIS is like the first chapters of "BLAME!" where you don't know wtf is happening since its played in reverse
it makes more sense once you reread after finishing the later arcs.

theres a LOT of forshaddowing that a new reader isn't supposed to understand till later,
so many people are bashing on this but they don't realize this is genius level writing.

also im surprised kiwa was actually portrayed being good at fighting initially since she was basically relegated as a side damsel in distress later on.
i feel like the inital chapters was more of a prototype since many of the characteristics changed later on.
