Like, dude, just show it. Shut the hell up and just show it. This entire arc could've been 4 chapters and not 30.

Feels like the author got threatened with an axe and rushed to try and resolve every plot thread, only to get told afterwards that they can keep going.

Could also be that they decided over time that they actually wanted to write a simpler slice of life fantasy romance/adventure but felt dissatisfied with the idea of just abandoning all the established plot details, and thus resolved to tie it all up at once before moving on, even if it came out messy and contrived.

Or they just lack the skill/knowledge of how to properly progress an overarching narrative past the initial setup and could only think of using asspull after asspull to reach a conclusion.

Regardless, glad it's over and I hope this kind of writing doesn't continue going forward.

damn just read this today and I thought this got axed at chapter 55. and I didn't notice the whole fight took quite a lot of chapters until I read the comments here lol. and so is Valetta gonna be a mistress now although I doubt Iver gonna approve of it seems like she is a possessive type
