You know what? I liked it....glad I read it in one go though.

I expected it to be a "beam spam" fight or something like that, so is it is an automatic upgrade from my low expectations even if it was deeply flawed.

Poorly delivered, it relied too much on exposition, the setup was only partially there and some elements seemed to contradict one another, I don't care about the novels, those should be seen as an EXTRA from the point of view of the reader.

The story needed to setup things better, this way it would have all been shorter, or hell even just postpone the fight with the Goddess, we barely got to know her too.

I like the INGREDIENTS: the turtle new world (reference to Terry Pratchett?) with its own physics,the sword being the arm,the meaning of being a hero,the isekai element,Mirio's village secrets, the necromancy.
But it needed a better cook, the fight took pretty much half of the story so far depending on when you want to start counting, if from chapter 29, 30 or even 25 when the douche flew in.
Show don't tell, something often missing in Manga, set-up and pay-off.
Since is an adaptation, IF we are following the original story then these elements weren't pulled out of nowhere from the writer but they were coming way before, so why weren't they setup properly?

Honestly, I'd like if this story was remade with the same ingredients one day, but not today, I want to see it delivered to the end.
