This manga takes the cake for "3rd most fucked up depiction of a relationship" I've seen, and that's coming from someone who's read many dozen fantasy pornhwa, revenge isekai, and dark-psychological yuri as well. MC is a rapist with a fetish for broken women, and there's an absolute, pervasive power disparity in the relationship. I say that not in any kind of progressive sense, but where it genuinely feels like everything in this world exists to placate our MC, especially when you consider the female lead is a blank check character with no will to speak of. This would be fine for something like a harem comedy shounen, but this manga takes itself way too seriously most of the time. Do not recommend, unless that's your thing.

Best as I can tell… this manga is trying to eat its cake and have it too. It's trying to portray a relationship where the woman is completely b███en, except the guy is a Good Guy™ so it's all fine.

It. Just. Doesn't. Work.

The only way it could have worked, is if the guy had expended every effort to let her know that she doesn't need to have sex with him. This would have involved, uh… not having sex with her. So it was a non-starter as far as this manga's goals were concerned, methinks.

It is of course not lost on me that the MMC is merely 18. Would an 18-year-old have the emotional maturity necessary to do those things? That I don't know. But I do seem to recall that many men immediately lose their erection if the woman starts crying, and I find it curious how this didn't happen to the MMC.

Come to think of it… aside from sheathing his sword (the literal one), he hasn't appeared at any point to be worried for her. So, the only reason I don't find him to have a bad character is because he doesn't appear to have much of a character at all.

I read a bit more. By the beginning of the 9th chapter, it was kinda-sorta-maybe-possibly starting to redeem itself.
By the end of the same chapter, I dropped it with a 3/10.

Mirio shouldn’t have fucked her, that was kind of shitty, like come on now she was obviously traumatized, but it’s not exactly unrealistic for an 18 year old to think with his dick when what is supposed to be the most attractive creature is in front of him saying to fuck her. But man this shit was just sad, and not in a good way. Also the character development feels terrible, like yeah she gets raped for centuries and then she’s fine after like a week with this guy because he said he loves her, I’m sure it works that way.

This...is not a good story. This is about a piece of actual trash pretending to not be trash. When he says he's not a hero, he is definitely not a hero. Not to mention the lack of brain power beyond reasonable levels. He is fully in control yet does nothing to control the situations because he is trash and stupid.

Skip this if you wish to retain braincells.

It's crazy how the "victim" fmc admits she started a genocidal campaign against humanity because we're a "disease" to her and people still sympathize with her. Who would care if Hitler, Stalin or Mao got abused after doing what they did?
