Correct it was his second in command Victor from his dragon slaying corps days who backstabbed & betrayed Leon during their first assault of the silver dragon clan. The Easter egg from this is the small piece of Leon's armor (Black Gold War Chariot) that Noah has in her box. It's from the hole that was made when Victor stabbed Leon from behind and left him for dead. The King & Queen of the empire feared that Leon had grown too strong & powerful to control and thus interfere with their grand plans, so they chose to get rid of him from the shadows and asked Victor to do the deed.

What's the Grand plan?, In Leon and Konstantine's second meeting he revealed 30 years ago in the timeline when the war was at it's peak the empire stuck a deal with the dragon kings to prolong the war. This way that they could reap maximum profits from the population without raising taxes or changing the labor laws. The longer the war drags on, the more manpower, finances, and resources the people funnel into supporting it. In conclusion this is all about ripping the population off under the guise of manufactured war.
Damn, that's scummy to do

I'm sad: Aurora greeted Leon with an uppercut back when she first met Isabella in the novel, then here in the banquet she uppercut Leon again, and from then on she will suckedpuch him very often to the point Leon almost gets PTSD. Here in the manhua however they changed it to a simple kick to the face. No, it was supposed to be Aurora's signature green to Leon an uppercut to the jaw. :meguuusad:

Given how he defeated the BBEG (while he had limited magic reserves) that both Rose and her sister were afraid of facing. Rose's pride will take a hit.
Actually, no. What ends up happening is she eventually realizes she needs to become stronger as well to protect her family and her people, and with help from grandma, learns how to manipulate ancient magic.

Nonconsent issues and goofy-ass tsundere teenager behavior regarding her husband aside, she's easily one of the more logical and reasonable dragon kings. No need for pride when the babies/kingdom are in danger.

She would better also change back more often, too. She is not hard to draw as a dragon.

I think the enemies part left the moment she decided she was going to bare his kids.
She never decided to bare his kids. She accidentally got pregnant, and took responsibility and made him take his. Of course, over time, she did develop feelings for him, just as he did. But they both are to prideful to admit it for now XD
Not everyone believe in ending pregnancies, simply because they are "inconvenient".

Tbh it's a pretty accurated representation of how war is a business opportunity to certain sectors of society...

Ruh-roh. Sounds like she isnt going to be thrilled to find out she didnt defeat him on her own merit, but he was set up instead.

I'm just glad we might be finally talking about his capture in more details !! Considering how strong he proved to be against an opponent who's perhaps almost if not as strong as his wife, it would be a bit odd he got captured by strength alone...

Plus, his Master did say that Leon was already considered a traitor by the Empire, if I recall properly... are we going to see some Game of Thrones corruption unfold !? Was the Crown too afraid of the Most Powerful Dragon Slayer and wanted him out of the picture !? Let's find out...

I'd like to know if this "war" between the two is close to ending. I want to see the relationship evolve. This kind of evolution, where the writer doesn't have the courage to abandon a previous idea, gets a bit boring for me.

Yes.

Edit: that said, they still play into it. At one point,
Noah is sneaking around at night and passes by their bedroom, and she hears them talking about where the "rope" is and how they can't do captive roleplay without it. Noah is like 7 years old by this point.

Another cracking chapter. It still gets 10⭐ from me. The quality nor the storytelling never seems to drop.

oh it evolves, it changes A LOT overtime, it gets, absurdly sweet and is a very functional relationship, that said like the guy above said, they do relive the past in bedplay or as internal jokes between them, that said the tsundere, contrarian and mean spirited shit gets weaker and weaker as time goes on and pretty much fully disappears after a while.

It's interesting that this is an issue on both sides, rather than the norm of placing it all on the humans and one, maybe two rogue elements on the other 🤔
