I thought the description sounded a bit like Wizardry, but then we get both the Wizardry spell names and the Softalk All-Stars.

I ended up reading up to chapter 4 before this. So they really just found him. Dead body nothing unusual but the fact he was already well well rotted and stuff, beyond a sealed door an unknown floor etc is the mystery. If it was sealed never opened how was this guy here? And how why he died? dead for quite a while it seems as well?
