Alice Arisu Fuji Fujii is a very tricky trickster... And an instant Hackerwoman, despite never touching a computer before.
Also, Hanakamakiri harming Alice, and even trying to kill her, is one of the dumbest things about this sequel. He says he's doing that and plotting to kill Ms. zombie outbreak cure Dinoponera to protect Imomushi, but no villains aside from the zombies ever threaten or seem to even know about Imomushi! Bit of a spoiler, but in the latest raw chapter, Hanakamakiri has switched sides to Alice for real, just as haphazardly, due to OFFSCREEN events and after only barely interacting with Chiyuri!

Gotta admit, that was cold lol. I did think it would get increasingly difficult to depict Alice as the ultimate assassin but I find this acceptable so far.
When it comes down to it, programs are just series of logic patterns, with usually layers of abstraction. As long as you understand one such layer and it has access to all the others, you don't need to know about the rest. And they gave her that.
They did all the work for her really, giving her an interface that was based on her preferred means of sensory input and output.

That's something they discussed doing way back in that spinoff manga, but any word on if they ever did the thing? Ngl that question is one of the things that keeps me reading this series.
