So far, while this isn't anything particularly unique (as of reading up to chapter 10), for a weak-to-strong type of story this is decent.

this concept is the epitome of what's wrong with power fantasies. they try their best to flirt with darker, more mature concepts like karma and sin, only to flounder hopelessly when it comes time to execute. because to pull it off well, they'd have to give their main character genuine challenges to overcome and lose, which is the direct opposite idea of a power fantasy.

the guy was basically fantasy hitler, and his "punishment" in his next life is bad luck... except he's still living in comfort with magic, tech, and modern conveniences. clearly not too bad. all of his bad luck is literally just lack of financial and professional success in life.

and in the end, he's punished with trials. those trials are supposedly his punishment for his past life as fantasy hitler, a means to cleanse his bad karma. but... he's rewarded immensely for completing those trials. so... riddle me this, how is that considered punishment? because punishment means you take the blows, you take the hits, all without reward or compensation because it's your way to atone. consequence, not transactional. you don’t get something because you suffered. you suffer because you did wrong.

balancing the scales, as one might put it, not tipping them in their favor. do the crime, do the time. if someone committed atrocities, then their atonement should reflect that. but here, the scales will and cannot ever balance, because the suffering he's receiving for his crimes and sins directly lead to even more success.

imagine a guy kills someone, goes to prison for life, and the government rewards him massively just for enduring his sentence. same concept here. makes no sense.

Honestly this is the stupidest premise I've seen. If you want to punish the blood demon then punish the blood demon, until he started being given back his powers/memories Kang San had literally nothing to do with that life, he didn't cultivate, he didn't do martial arts, then Luka found him and decided to give him a premium free trial to hell. Clearly this isn't about punishing him to her, it's definitely personal we just don't know why yet. It's not about trials and tribulations it's an endless cycle of "because fuck you that's why" due to something an entirely different person/life did.
