Wait? Feels a bit too suspicious. Like sure Oshimi always made happy ending but there's got to be some progress. Even if a a time skip happens next chapter, expect shit to go down.

They're all broken.

So my expectations got turned around. It turns out the mother was already broken from the start.

I'm too paranoid, I keep waiting for something terrible to happen involving Fukiishi. I can't help it but she gives me the creeps.

Seiichi is being dumb with his explanations to the police; he's already become aware that they're trying to establish a motive for Seiko's behavior, and asking him about it, but he's telling them nothing they can use. What he did there and what he told his father are completely opposite in action. There is a slim chance that Seiko may serve little time, if it can be shown that she is crazy, or that she was 'driven' to her actions by some turmoil brought on by her husband's family. The fact that no one actually died is a considerable to her case.

Hating your mother and running away from facing it is definitely not good in the long run but maybe it is better if he stays away from his mother a little bit to figure out his feelings a bit more. I just don't want him to just hate his mother and make her the bad guy as it is not that simple when it comes to his family situation.

OK so I think I'm finally starting to understand the dad. He's still so attached to Seiko because he blames himself for everything that went down. Which is sad to see cuz tho yes his inattentiveness and neglect were contributions why things were as bad as they were, but not the direct cause. You can't blame yourself for someone else's actions. Yes Seiko felt deeply dissatisfied in there marriage but she was already mentally f*cked to begin with, smso that obviously wasn't the cause. Also lots of people have bad partners and have a bad relationship with their inlaws and don't go on to try murder their son. So I hope Seiichi's dad can realize he's not the blame for her depravity, and hopefully move on and live happily with his son.

I'm glad that Sei is moving on from his mother's hold but the complete severance ain't good. In the interrogation his indifference stunted what could have been big in their case. If only he brought up his mom trying to kill him when he was 3. I don't actually know what they would have done with this information, but I know it's important for them to know this kind of revelation. Also I LOVE what agent(or loyar? I honestly forget lol) about familial relationships lingering. I thought she was gonna say some generic "but that's your mom, you only get one" type mess. But instead she was spittin. Any familial relationships is impossible to fully sever yourself from especially if your mother or father, I have friends who cut their parents off but still can't get them out their head. It's natural because your parents literally made you, and were your everything growing up.
