Why are people blaming the father? It was obvious that his sisters son being in hospital was taking majority of his attention,so of course he is not in the right state of mind to fully understand what's is going on.

I accidently read that something like that too, but I've also heard it was probably gaslighting. Sei was away from the edge, and even if we are talking hallucination things, that's mostly about, say, seeing something wrong, not actually being at the edge vs. away. It's probably an effect of the gaslighting, because the mom had more reason to push Shigeru

It's clear she wanted a somewhat escape from her life, so getting arrested might've freed her from everyone and everything? She seemed to have accepted her fate when the detective asked her son, at the time.

Anyways, I'm still to early in the volumes to think about it.

I think you might be misremembering. When the detective asked Sei, she put her arm on his shoulder and was looking at him, and with the way it was framed it seemed entirely calculated.

However, it does look now that she actually kinda wants to be found out.
