I watched the live action of Blue Blazes many years ago, aside finding interesting the trivia of old mangaka I didn't like it much. As how they said here, you can only do so much with real people without going to cringy territory. When it comes to depicting intense dramatic mood, nothing beats 2D medium....

Thanks for the new Chapter. @tamarakko I get your point, but in that specific case I really liked the Live Action Adaption because Shimamotos storytelling-style himself is waaay over the top. And the LA got it very right, atleast for me. I really enjoyed it back then when I watched it... (like 10 years ago lol?) but tbh I also prefer the Manga so far.

Yeah, fairly enough they just wanted to translate his style as accurately as they could, it wasn't the adaptation's fault itself. My comment was more of a reflection how much the choice of a medium can make a world's difference on someone's perception of a work, which is certainly the case for Shimamoto's manga lol
