I can't decide whether this is slice-of-life or melodramatic—rather, it feels like the premise is melodramatic, but the execution is rather low-key so far.
In a similar vein, though he seems to be coping pretty well all things considered, our protagonist seems to have it pretty rough with his luck so far...
If it can keep up this low-key tension, this could actually be quite good, quite possibly? But possibly I'm hoping for too much, too early.
