Thanks for the translation, people! Such a quality manga needs to be treated with care and dedication, and the work you're putting in it is noted. I don't know Japanese so I can't say a thing about the translation per se, but some of the cleaning and redrawing (damned translucent speech bubbles, amirite?) looks pretty challenging to do but look beautiful in the release. Great job!

@BladeLord not every piece must be a masterpiece, try to enjoy the process. Do what resonates with you: what makes you happy, what makes you sad, what makes you angry... paint the frustration of not knowing what to paint. Don't get to hung on the "meaning", after all a considerable portion of that is given by the viewer. "Because our own work betrays us and in that betrayal of oneself, we are our own slap in the face and stupefaction."

I think this is a challenge in most artistic profession. The most important thing is to have individuality and deep conviction in their own art. But because he has just started, he hasn’t really found his own style yet and hasn’t figure out what he really wants to do. This is something that he has to face and solve. I don’t know any painters, but I do know a lot of singers (and aspiring singers) who face the same problems, that they can’t find their own style and then they get lost. It doesn’t matter how good their singing techniques and abilities are, they will never be able to standout.

This hits close to home alright. I was an aspiring artist myself and while I was drawing since I was a child I also got hit with reality that my drawings weren't that.. distinctive. I realized knowing how to draw isn't all there is to it and Yatora who hasn't found his own style yet is crumbling from the pressure. I hope he bounces back.
