If it's really the case, I feel like a bunch of things aren't going to be solved or just really rushed, and on top of it we got a new "connection" with the junior from work, a new career path(?) and Asano uploading videos of her music lessons, I'm worried we may have a horrible or just underwhelming ending...

Could be the manga got axed and the author just didnt even have an opportunity or maybe even desire to try to complete the story. I kinda enjoyed the manga altogether. Execution was meh but the sort of overbearing mom and the psychological trauma that causes is an interesting topic to explore. I did find the whole thing with the mom blocking out all the abuse and basically brushing it off to be super realistic from personal experience. Like narratively I get why that frustrates a lot of people but the reality is this is what happens 8/10 times. I don't wanna go too much into detail but its a lot of gaslighting, actual memory blocking, or a combo of the two and it freakin sucks but it is what it is. In reality, there is rarely a solution in which the mom and/or dad face consequences other than maybe losing contact but its very rare that happens and even if it does, its unlikely there is any introspection on the parents part. Just look up no contact children online and you'll see tons of what are essentially the mom of this manga not understanding why their kids don't talk to them no more.

Would've like to see like maybe 10 more chapters to see how it plays out but seems like this is it I guess. Wouldn't call it good but it was interesting while it lasted.

There's no way chapter 38 is the last chapter. I believe it's been marked as the final chapter on MangaDex for a while, and the latest raw came out in May of this year.

If it is the end, what an asshole thing to do in introducing soo many new plot threads in the final volume.

Okay, so after reading everything up to this point, it sorta just feels like the author "discovered" the story they wanted to write REALLY late into the game. This reads like there wasn't a good plan in place - just a general premise - and the author went full panster except unfortunately there wasn't a drafting process because that's not how Manga works I guess. If the story isn't currently complete, I'm not sure that the author even knows how it ends. These last few chapters have felt great in that the characters feel like they are actually forward and toward something. They feel more real and independent. That's great except it's been 37 chapters. To make matters worse this is happening with the both the male and female lead separated. Plot development has literally been split in half the last several chapters. This is so frustrating. I like the idea of this story in general, but lord is the execution painful.
