A character moves from Tokyo to a large provincial city and starts looking for money under vending machines because of housing problems? Is this some kind of new game of the Yakuza series?
I love how Nijika is so attentive when it comes to Ryo, they're basically dating.
If I didn’t know how the shipping mentality works, I would think that in our time, being attentive to the problems of your friends has ceased to be considered something ordinary and expected from friendship in the first place.
This might actually be the first time I've seen a high-school character graduate and start attending college, excluding epilogues.
Also the first time I've seen one graduate and become a deadbeat moocher.
K-ON! literally did it, albeit in a not very popular spin-off lmao. But seriously, this is a pretty common thing in stories that try to cover more of a character's life than just their school days. Especially career and sports titles.
The Saitama slander goes hard
I have a feeling that in most countries, residents of the capital think that all other large cities in their state are meme places; moving anywhere from the capital is the same as going into forced exile.

A 4.5 tatami room also has a weird cultural significance because it is indeed a weird configuration for a washitsu home. It's the basic theme of the very popular novel The Tatami Galaxy and its adaptations. There is some occult meaning too because the way the tatami is set up is similar to the motional arrangement of the manji (swastika).

KyoAni did a lot of heavy lifting. Honestly the manga itself is just ok, nothing really outstanding as far as those iyashikei SoLs manga goes. The studio did phenomenal work in adapting it.

Well, I also see a lot of people who say that Bocchi's manga is much weaker or even worse than the masterpiece anime. True, they mostly don’t really realize that this is not so much a compliment to the anime as a belittlement of the original.

i grew up in LA, but if I ever ended up living in some boring city like Palmdale that’s a few hours away, I’d definitely hate it lol
