Formally yes, although in our time ko has a neutral shade, and сhan is female. For example, when the Goro calls other men witch chan with "lovely" intonation in Yakuza, this is considered a gag. But one way or another, in this case, most likely there was a general “ko”, since pun parodied the old tradition to use the ending "ko" in female names (according to the formula "modern name + child like kaoru + ko), which is considered very outdated.

Great chapter. Am I the only one who feels that the series is getting funnier and the art is getting worse?

I feel that Aki is reusing a lot of art and only focusing on the puns now, everytime I look at her twitter profile I feel she is just doing a lo t of BTR related events and merch and whatnot, I wonder If she has that much time to consitenly draw.
Also BTR is close to it's 7th year of publication too...

i loved how this chapter shows how much the band has grown since the start.

sucks that bocchi keeps getting L's in terms of showing herself in official projects. she was barely in the music video too.

i guess they're leaning for the "mysterious guitarist" vibe.

also i'm surprised that the ripe mango box is still around, i thought that it was turned to super mecha mango

I'd rather it be this way than something like "Slow Start", which has very good art but garbage story and characters.
It takes a really talented person to do it all. Namori in Yuru Yuri must draw in every waking or even non-waking hour.
