It seems the author is leaning into full comedy while advancing the story to avoid big character changes.

I'm not hoping a seinen but at least a bit more introspection into the girls.
People for different reasons tend to forget that Bocchi The Rock is CGDCT manga in the first place. Its normally focused on the comedy or archetypes and gymmicks of its characters for it. But I would also not agree that the characters are not developing and not explored. We literally had an arc about the significance of the personal development of Bocchi a couple of chapters ago.

We've got plenty of arcs with character growth and quite significant shifts forward. Plus Hamazi is always show us the less romantic side of showbiz albeit through comedy.

I'd say it's way way way more than anyone could expect from a moe manga.

It would never have become so popular and critically appreciated if it were just generic moe manga. But people seem to forget that this is still a comedic story about All-Female rock band. However, I write this in the year when Bandori tried to turn their new anime into a psychological thriller without any irony...

I love this series, but I really do believe the art is deteriorating or neglected.

What's making everyone so sure that Kita's writing the lyrics? It's actually quite sad for Bocchi. Maybe the credits in an MV were wrong.

Thanks for the chapter.

About this one, I liked their jokes were somehow sofisticated, I wouldn't have understood without the notes. But I think it's a bit sad how the manga is slow now. I understand Bocchi is a 4-koma manga, so this is actually above average 4-koma mangas in terms of development, but things could be moving faster by now. The chapter opened an interesting topic about how Bocchi is being ghosted in the band because of her social anxiety, however moved quickly to commedy and her monologue stayed "in the air". Don't know if the author will actually make a use of this, or if it will be only another monologue to make Bocchi look sided in the group's discussion. In the last events when the band progressed somehow, Bocchi was always neglected: her single scenes in the MV were cut, her repplies in the interview were also cut and now they revealed that fans are thinking that Kita is the one writing the songs' lyrics. A good development in Bocchi's introspect side can be interesting to the manga

Iirc, Kita wrote the lyrics for a grand total of one song. And I'd imagine since she's way more vocal about this (mainly because Bocchi can barely communicate), people probably assume the same applies to all of their songs.
As for the credits part, you'd probably just put your band there. (From my experience), if contributions are credited separately, that's usually the case for collaborations / "third party" contributions. You're not going to state each band members' role every time. And at the same time, they're not big enough for them to be common knowledge which gives rise to assumptions...
We don't actually know if Kita wrote the lyrics for that one song, there are some theories she did, but the lyrics could be either about Bocchi -> Kita or Kita -> Bocchi.

I saw the cybertruck and came here to say: what a shitty car it is, rather buy a tricycle than that

as a car guy, it does pain me a bit that ryo and bocchi don't want to drive, i was really hoping we'd see ryo get into mitsubishi or something.

i guess my hit fanfiction: Bocchi the dorifto is cancelled : (

Deteriorating compared to when, exactly? I went back and looked at chapter 1 to compare, and I think the newer chapters are a lot better art-wise than the very earliest chapters, but without a better idea if when you think the comic's art "peaked" I can't give more of an opinion than that. At the very least, I haven't perceived any blatantly obvious drop in art quality at any point. I guess the art in the most recent chapters has been getting more crowded out by heavier quantities of text, but the art that's there seems as good as it's ever been as far as I can tell.

Maybe its because the author might not have her sister helping with the backgrounds anymore cuz she's busy with her own manga? Maybe thats it. But I just binged Bocchi the Rock chaters over the week and cant tell much difference in the artstyle.

I'll just assume you're right. Currently I have COVID for the third time (!!!!) so everything about Bocchi is looking pretty smooth.

Binging is the way to go, especially when the whole thing stops.
