Hi! So, like. wow this is rambly (I was going to just do this like in a public Discord channel until I realized I couldn't actually find any of y'all to ping), but, uh here goes

For what it's worth, we have been, like. intermittently giving informal updates on the big BtR Discord and like a week or two ago I commented on the 25.5 upload. but as much of a shock as it was to notice this the moment I got back from a weekend trip out of state it can still barely be called a snipe after eight months 😭 and then when I noticed how well received this was, I was halfway to passing you the torch right then and there! Then I thought it through, actually read your chapter and compared it to the raw, and touched base a little with the rest of the team about it and... we're seriously considering the possibility of inviting you to merge our teams.

There was a bit of a hiccup with redraws about a year ago, but for the most part our work has ground to a halt because my mental health has gotten better enough that I'm not working on translations as a coping mechanism but not so much better that I can just focus on finishing them because I LIKE DOING IT, and because I'm kinda obsessive about having a polished script to ship but still need occasional assistance sanity checking the baseline correctness of the translation and those intersect catastrophically on the occasional line that's complicated enough to be a struggle to translate idiomatically even once I do 100% know what it actually means--chapter 23 has been hung up for like at least a whole month now purely by a few of Eliza's wackier lines. And also this isn't implicated in 23 taking forever but at some point the anonymous team member we've been relying on for the secondary translation duties just disappeared without a trace? So uhh anyways like. Yeah. Y'all's translation and typesetting lack some of that polish, but they're not exactly rough either and they've got SO much heart, and while the toxic optimist in me wants to hope for a perfect comeback I feel like even then we'd complement each other pretty well and it's a shame for passion to go to waste.

We're still figuring out some logistics internally (as in started vaguely thinking about it an hour ago), but one way or another I'd love to get in touch. and it might take me a hot minute to notice replies on mdex forums, but wait I just remembered there are DMs here so uhh I just edited out the stuff I put here originally and am about to DM it instead I can't get DMs to work but you can always find me on Yoyokord or just like cold friend request me if I have that enabled and if that doesn't work literally email me at june (at) sideros.rocks because apparently I own that domain for some reason
