So it's like, fine you struggle to be honest and transparent, but poor Sorata is always walking away thinking the worst of himself. Just be honest and say, "I'm madly in love with you and desperately want to be together." or "I want to break you two up for your sake, not my sisters, because I know her inability to be honest makes you think lesser of yourself." This is some of the dumbest laziest writing I've read in recent times. Sorata deserves better than this shitty family. But we all know the entire issue with Miyuki, her brother and parents will be completely swept under the rug as Sorata bends over backwards to be the only rational person in all of this. And at the end it will be treated same way this chapter was "oh, we were just casually making your life hell out of pure love"

Yeah, probably. If that happens, I’ll drop the series. Sorata doesn’t deserve to have his already nonexistent self-esteem dragged even further down. And unfortunately, I can totally see that happening, because why not, right? It’ll be so much fun to watch the protagonist suffer even more while yet another guy gets to interact with Miyuki way more than Sorata himself. What a hilarious idea.

Because apparently that’s what this romcom needs. The protagonists barely interacting, Sorata constantly being pushed aside while everyone else gets to spend more time with Miyuki, and then somehow they’re supposed to end up together despite barely having any meaningful interaction. Even Miyuki herself literally said they don’t spend enough time together.

And the author clearly knows exactly what he’s doing, which somehow makes it even worse. These “funny” situations and jokes at Sorata’s expense aren’t accidental, he deliberately keeps putting the MC through this shit. So yeah, why not make him suffer even more? I’m sure it’ll be absolutely hilarious. Peak romcom comedy.
