...huh...

I don't want to label this as a cuck manga...

But it really does feel like a cuck manga.
Hard to say. They both consent to this kind of relationship.

Not Friends with Benefits, because one side get all benefits (home cook meal and place to stay), other side just.....happy with her presence?

I mean... cuckholdry is consensual. I am fine with him helping her and all that... but he is destroying her. He is making her dependent on him, doesn't help her become better just helps her self destroy. Even if she was to get together with the guy he would run away after a few weeks. An extremely obssesed, lazy and kinda naive person. She is the classic type of person who is destined to become a loser.

She cant cook for herself, doesnt have a job, spends all the money she has on useless stuff, doesn't go to university so basically doesnt care about her future, short attention span and very obsesive.

I think he doesn't actually love her but loves taking care of her. I think if she actually tried to become a better person dude would go mad and hurt her or himself. Basically seems like a toxic relationship

This... Great analysis, but I'm going to go even further into the darkness. Um, basically I'm having a little trouble with the art, which seems deliberately alienating and unnerving, in that I'm not sure what it's aiming for yet? Whether it's creepy because he's exactly what he claims to be and all will suffer, or it's creepy because he's an obvious psychopath. Maybe that uncertainty IS what it's going for.

Those color pages are really effective at setting the tone by introducing her as feeling lost, fragile, helpless, and distant. Then she's a weird, happy little goblin getting way too close to the wide lens - I actually leaned back a little. And then obviously we see her doing a pretty damn good "crazy." That part hit well. She absolutely does not understand that she needs an immediate mental health intervention.

Meanwhile the art for him gives us placid in a way that feels deeply insincere. Does the smile ever really reach his eyes? They only light up when he feeds her and when she agrees to be his girlfriend. Is he happy to be with the girl he loves? Or is he happy because It's Working? The dialogue during dinner seems very leading and methodical from his end.

You're right that he's destroying her; specifically he's isolating her now (who knows how long?) and feeding her self-destructive delusions.

If you're saying "doesn't love her, loves taking care of her, it's toxic," I'm going to bet on this side of the fence: "doesn't know what love is, feels satisfaction controlling her, it's abusive."

I think it's telling that his "confession" to her is omitted and we're only shown her immediate reaction, him grimly pushing a coffee at her before she even has a chance to say anything. It means that in the whole chapter, he talks a lot about her love, but never even says he likes her. He also never says he wants her to love him, only that he waits for her to turn that look toward him.

I'm going to go out on a bit of a limb here and guess that the story is going to use the "NTR(?)" aspect not to titillate those who enjoy that stuff, but to stoke the reader's jealousy/anger at the helpless Chisa so that when Kotaro does bad things to her (fueled not by jealousy but contempt) we won't really mind too much.

I think I'll mind, though? So I'mma call it here. I bet this is going to be good, effective art. But I don't think I'd enjoy reading it. Maybe I'll check the last chapter's comments.
Oh yeah, the cover art is him calmly strangling a faceless, dehumanized Chisa who isn't able to effectively resist, so.

I got traumatic flashback from Karami Zakari and/or Aitsu no Kanojo from this... Anyone got spoiler on how this train wreck ends?

Your eye is really critical, i saw the art is a bit special but didn't go that far in seeing the meaning of each angle.

And i think there will be jealousy but its gonna be when she gains independence.

That strangling part on the cover is something i missed, i only saw her face covered and thought the mc doesn't even see her as chisa but something he can get satisfaction of taking care of and it could be anybody

I hope she falls for his cuck ass, but he finds someone else. I'm not saying this because he deserves better, I'm saying this because she deserves worse. Nah, nvm that's too good for him. I hope he dies.
