I hadnt actually thought it would be the kind of series that would cover the main couple getting married,
but damn, that you said totally killed any interest I may have.

Their marriage happens, they have been together for five years and her wife uses the occasion to play a mind game on him, they are all dressed the same, and he has to recognize her....is supposed to be a cute send-off but it means they couldn't let it go and are still alone.

There is an OVA for the honeymoon, so you could skim through that to get an idea.
It all feels like they are just friends, I just hope "Ranger rejects" is a better work.

He basically has two goals. First: stretch out the series for as far as possible, so he keeps making money off it. Understandable. RaG is his main cash cow. And since so many people still reading it and buying volumes, he can do whatever he wants with it. Plus he clearly rage baiting people into discussing it- and it works!!

At this point, it is more believable that the Straw Hats will discover the One Piece before the conclusion of RaG lol.

Second... it's not a secret he's obsessed with Chorizo, a character he himself created. He views her as a perfect woman. So the last thing he wants is to see her with another man. Even in manga he writes!!! So he put himself at a stalemate, he can't progress the relationship and he can't end the manga. In the meantime he tries not to turn Chorizo into absolute villainess (he fails). So yeah, here's that.
Or maybe I am wrong and he actually can't write relationships.

This is exactly what I think as well. The author knows how to play their cards right, and I’m sure their editor plays a big part in it too.

Believe it or not, the RaG series is actually well received in Japan enough to be published up to 40 tankobon volumes.

And it doesn’t look like the story will end anytime soon 😅… unless there’s a sudden drop in sales for the latest volume

Some people theorize, for the sake of their sanity, that maybe Chizuru is a self-insert of his wife... WHICH IN A WAY MAKES IT WORSE. Not only he would be putting his wife lookalike in a situation where she is a pseudo-prostitute, but also pretty much one of the worst girls in the series, who he also has drawn getting fucked by other men in all those delusions of Kazuya.

I always tell people that if they want something out of a genre, they should look for it. This is a fine example of two characters actually going out. Its not as rare as people think it is.

It's not easy when 99% of it is garbage. But could you recommend similarly good quality ones good sir?

No offense, but why does anyone expect ANYTHING from something called rental girlfriend? That + reading the first 3 chapters should have been enough to make you drop that pile of shit, I don't get this outrage. The fans got what was promised to them, a garbage dragged out story. No point reading anything from that author lol
