You know what, it's kinda refreshing to have a rom-com where the mc takes school (and education) seriously and not just some place to make memories, like I can empathize with Kyoutaro's struggles as I've also been through the same stuff when I was young, though I was not as smart as him and didn't have a partner 😶

Threadly reminder, they’re in middle school (9th grade, age 14-15) and applying for high schools. And the two have an age gap of 6 month, with Kyoutarou being among the youngest in his grade, whereas Anna is smack in the middle.

But if we were to talk about seriously, insead of usual a little arrogant like gal manner, she is more down to earth because of the exam worries, that may be it... I'm not paraging her. A good, lovely, trying to be a "gal" character, like Ichi having 7th grader syndrome, but her 7th grader syndrome is trying to be like a "gal"
I guess that is why they became good friends... hence, like Ichi had character developments after all those chapters, I guess seeing moe prettier or good may be also related to her character developments over the chapter...

Some subtlety was missed by the TL on the editor notes (the aside on the first and last pages). Usually, furigana is used for the hiragana/katakana readings of the kanji below, but here it's used as an alternate meaning for the word below. This also happened with Ch. 173 where "NTR" had obaachan (grandma) as the furigana.
For the intro editor note, it's something like "These enjoyable days (as a freeloader) have reached its end."
For the outro editor note, it's "The exam (battle) has already begun!"
