Pretty sure that's just her being worried that Ichikawa's hanging out at Moeko's house, her being outside is prob just her being on her way to/from somewhere

I guess so, in the previous chapter he did think ''just in case, I'll let Yamada know''. But that's what I'm intrigued by, what had she been doing, and in nice attire as well? Using the environment and visuals is an important storytelling tool, especially in manga, so feels like it could be of significance later on

I think she didn't know that Ichi was at Moeko's house and just held back at the end of the last chapter so she could contact him. In this part, Kyotaro thought he should call home before contacting her, and then when he got home and she called asking if he was busy, he decided not to mention what he had been doing today.

I mean yeah, it could be, but until then it aint much more than "she was getting out of work or at work", it's not even like anything we saw in that panel was out of the ordinary for Yamada.

My first impression was that he didn't and that Yamada's comment, ''I'll endure this'', was regarding something other than him being at Moeko's. And Kyo choosing not to tell her about his day when questioned does make me lean more towards that

Thx for the TL, the seeds of chaos sewn with the picture set aside, this was a good chapter showcasing the struggle of teenagers trying to balance how to face the real world and taking on bigger responsibilities while still being young. This chap shows a good reflection between ichi and moe on how they are trying their hardest to enter the adult world with school and exam, but they can't forget they are still young kids to tweens.

Well, the editor left a comment on that panel that starts with “while Yamada Waits faithfully and cheers Kyotaro on...”. In part 174, when Yamada saw his study books and decided that he would be in Super Hard Mode next year, Kyotaro told her about his entire exam schedule. Moreover, the entire volume focuses on Yamada trying not to disturb him while he is at their house. From this, I personally concluded that she is waiting for him to pass his exams. I can't find any other explanation, because as it turned out, Kyo never contacted her.
