It's a weird dynamic. It's as if Yamada already knew what Ichikawa's going to say, and just wants to hear him say it so that she could gush like a waterfall again as usual; and at the same time, her not-quite innocent and airhead nature makes it appear she's genuinely curious about what's on Ichikawa's mind.

His gakuran is of pretty light color, suggesting that his hair is darker with brown as a base. And even if this isn't true, he might not be interested in dying his hair because of various reasons connected with his general attitude (doesn't want to look like he tries etc.).
