However, the one piece of information he put into the crush was the letter "Y" as if he was about to write "Yamada," but scribbled it out. (Yamda did the same with the letter "I" for Ichikawa, btw)

This gotta be the one of the best uses of a single character in the whole manga. The best is definitely in chapter 74, though.

"I" scribbed out in Yamada's cool part, and "Y" scribbled out in Ichikawa's cute part. Theres also the detail in Yamada's paper with the Do You Have a Crush question, the circle overlaps a bit with Yes and half finishes in No. I interpret this with Yamada about to circle Yes (she started below the letter S) but she got too shy so she encircled No instead, making it look messier.
Theres also the fact that Ichikawa left an ink line below No but he scribbled it out for some reason when he was gonna encircle it.
Also my handwriting is like Yamada's and it never improved.
