Expecation: this is a prelude for another arc of his scheming, they accept him for no good reason, the remorse lasts 1 page, and his awful traits are treated with admiration from that point onward because friendshit.

Even for a shoujo, this literally doing nothing with that revelation is fucking dumb. When an author tries to shove this on it's readers throat, it says him/her think the audience plain stupid, which is insulting af.

there must be some kind of reckoning after they have eaten atleast. he must be punished for his actions. that is what I hope, but considering how shoujo manga usually deals with these kind of situations, it won't happen, most likely.

@WoodyCyber hopefully since this is classed as Josei, not Shoujo, it won't be as bad as people are fearing... hopefully. From how I've heard the demographic differences explained, is that Shoujo is idealistic, while Josei is realistic, so we can hope.

Don't count on it. It is almost unheard of that a creepy dirtbag in a manga (or bullies, rapists, etc.) ever gets punished for their actions. They also never seem to repent or show any remorse. They are either forgiven or the author ignores their crimes and they end up with the heroine anyways.
