Okay that company is kinda cheap and scummy (more than I expected). The literal only difference between his product and that super expensive one is this one makes annoying noises when it does non cooking stuff, have fun with that unless you wanna buy an “upgrade” to turn the useless feature off. On another note this has to be the best society I’ve seen handle robots. It’s fair, not unnecessarily prejudiced or discriminatory, and even respects robots autonomy and rights. And they make a good point about tax paying working class. Companies would probably love mindless drones they can just treat as machines, but the gov’t really wouldn’t allow for most workers to be replaced by machines (like everyone unnecessarily fears), because that would heavily hurt the economy (a capitalist economy kinda needs the population to have a job, so they have money to buy things and keep things moving) and (probably more immediate problem to the gov’t) they want tax paying workers. The gov’t isn’t going to sit by and lose tax revenue (not only do they lose income tax, but people without money can’t pay any taxes). I always love reading this because more than anything the MC isn’t treated like a complete weirdo for loving sentient robots capable of free thought.
