His future wife is pushy, very touchy-feely and skinship-oriented. If he can't get used to that it'll never work out for them. But I suppose I should give him credit for actually managing to give her a big hug AND a kiss on the cheek. The bar is so low that he manages to get praise for something that's more than most generic, weak male leads can manage. This is in fact, progress and ultimately that's good.

The hug was actually pretty nice too, especially because she hugged him back and I liked how that looked. I didn't like his "maybe she's used to it from ex boyfriends" train of thought and the potential drama in the MC's head that comes from that, but this chapter does give a few hints that she's actually pretty inexperienced herself.
