That might be so, but that kind of resolve doesn't build immediately either. 'Hey btw we'll be killing people next. Hope you reconciliate with your humanity for tomorrow!' would be just heartless. It's because there's no urgency that makes it the best time.

Spoiler: There's some betrayal at some point that feels like NTR. Arisu is Shiba's (step)sister will later go to his side

Arisu is basically Shiba's adopted cousin, so she feels indebted and ends up being taken by him to the male camp. MC is depressed about it, and is "saved" by Tamaki, and resolves to go save Arisu. Shiba plans to take Arisu's virginity in front of MC, and wants to use MC as a hostage to make sure Arisu doesn't betray him.

Arisu isn't exactly happy about this, but the feeling of debt is a strong one for good hearted people. MC is working on "saving" her and right now she's fighting some orcs. She's also feeling guilty and wondering if MC is coming for revenge. I assume the way that it will be resolved is either Shiba forcibly takes Arisu's first time, and MC "washes it away" so to speak, or he saves her and takes it himself. Of course, he already did, but that was in the level up area, not IRL. We'll have to wait and see.
