I liked the gigantic water bottle. Reminds of the short lived trend where guys just regularly brought along 1 gallon jugs of like Deer Park or Poland Spring.

Anyway, I've always liked peeks into the otaku subculture since Genshiken, and this has a cozier feel than most. I imagine a serialization would eventually have them pair up, but I wonder what else it would entail besides trips to concerts, comiket and the like.
