I must say, I've heard about this series through Isayama and saw the first volume's cover - that's all. Never would've expected to like characters' dynamics here though and I DO. Thought it would be just edgy, over-the-top psychological stuff with some absurd humor here and there.
Instead, I like how the relationships are quite a bit complicated inside the group. I like those moments of little pause, when you expect a character to get very depressed and humiliated - like, it lingers, you kinda expect it to get really serious, but it just cuts to a character doing more stupid things instead of focusing on their problem. I love that - I've seen it before in a few different series, one of them being Punpun.
Not sure I explained it correctly - english is my second, but somehow today it feels like my 4th language.
