And so, the gang decided to enjoy one last day of freedom. In their rapture, they accidentally killed another person. Whoops. The end.

Let's see how this will continue in the next volume
with 2 volumes left it's not very likely they will just end up in prison and bye

It just proves how their essence is pure-white, it couldn't accept or assimilate with the black strain at all, that incident left. They constantly suffered from all of the overbearing feelings. Finally come to a conclusion to free themselves from this chains coated in lava. Nice decision. They're utterly fragile to malice. Such nice bunch but wait I still don't care any less for maru. F OFF dude
You should suffer more

I dont understand why would Paisen and Maru decide to do that too. let me think...

for Maru, was the fight with shithead really the turning point for him to realize his wrongdoings? it doesnt feel as impactful.

And for Paisen, turning himself in will definitely lose his cash flow from his Dad unless his real goal is to entirely cut ties with him by also cutting off the money he's getting from him so he could feel less guilty using the money he owned himself.

In b4 the police dont give a fuck anymore since the dead were hooligans anyway.
Also, think of all the paperwork!
I dont understand why would Paisen and Maru decide to do that too.
In chapter 45, it's mentioned that Paisen's dad (or at least one of his men) helped him out because he doesn't want to be known as the father of a murderer, considering the huge scale of business he's running in the underworld. The Japanese apparently take these things seriously, at least in anime/manga as far as I know, that even being related to a murderer could make society relentlessly dogpile you (see Tobio's brief daydream in chapter 13).

And because they already "made a mistake" and "wrongly arrested" Paisen before. They got some backlash from the populi, they'd get even bigger one to back away again. Especially since they've sentenced somebody to death.

Now, that person is surely alive, since in Japan it can takes years after your judgment to be actually killed, but still.

I'm not sure if their confession will be accepted, but that's a really nice step forward. I still don't trust Maru though. If just him realizing that he has no friends made him change his mind, I gotta see more more internal thoughts of his.
