I decide that out of all the endings, Ogata’s was the best.
My favorite girl during the run of the series was Furuhashi because she reminded me of Onodera from Nisekoi. Here, however, she was too indecisive, and the alternatives were slightly better than in Nisekoi (can’t stop myself from comparing them, my first impression when I saw this back in 2017 was that it looked like Nisekoi, I even checked if the author was the same, but nope!).
Ogata’s ending included not only her, but also Sawako, who turned out to be a real weirdo, judging by her family situation… And the fun little sub-plot with the ghost.
Some of the endings, particularly Kominami’s and Sensei’s, suffered from the complete lack of the main girls. I think it was justified though, to let the reader focus on the main topic of the ending instead of being distracted by the main girls that so much attention was already paid to.
I completely ignored Uruka before because I just don’t like her, or the idea of long distance relationships for that matter.
I think my tier list of the endings is like this:
Ogata > Sensei > Kominami > Furuhashi > Uruka.
Although before the endings, it was… quite the opposite, maybe?
Furuhashi > Kominami > Ogata > Uruka > Sensei.
Mafuyu is a good character, my problem with her was that she was Yuiga’s teacher; age gap like this and the student-teacher relationship in romance is not my thing, but it was completely fixed for me in the ending.
Overall I enjoyed finishing the something-ty chapters I haven’t read before over the last few days. I had it rated at 6/10 before, but that went up to 8/10 thanks to the feel-good pick-your-favorite ending instead of sticking to the classic frustration fuel of worst girl Uruka winning.
