But the usage of Pedophile seems a bit much in recent years to the point it seems a bit too forced, even if it's to send a message (this is not just the case here, it's an issue with usage of other concepts including Isekai, in a story).

For most manga it's something that's added in a poor way, but as far as i know it is still to show it in a totaly negative way.
So it's better than never talking about it.

but it isn't that common either as one would assume, if we go by the actual range of what constitutes a Pedophile.

It's actually way more common than the majority think. Same as rape, people think that it's something extremely rare, but the number are quite hight for such a thing.

How little oversight does the adventurer guild have that not only once but multiple parties apparently rape their fellow adventurers? Do they just take any criminals as a sort of work release or something?

I wonder because the author put so much rape into it.
The goblins rape.Her teacher raped her when she was a kid.
She left or was let go after growing up and not being his fetish anymore, then she got raped by party members, multiple times.
And in the middle she lost her family, twice, first when they sent to a teacher thinking it wa sa good boon, then returning to the destroyed hometown, and if we want 3 times with a party she believed in falling down.
I presume she is getting this kind of focus because the story needs at least one main heroine, but one with this past is extremely rare.
