With this logic, the main message of Gundam is "super robots fighting in space is super cool." Please re-read all of Tatsuya's internal monologues about how being born in Yatsuba affected his life and how talented magicans suffer being expensive toys in the hands of governments due to the arms race. There is literally an entire prequel arc dedicated to this in Volume 8, in addition to which Tatsuya also repeatedly mentions that the Yatsuba and other clans literally caused the death of many of their members due to their attempt to breed the perfect magician. If all you saw was “being a genetic super soldier is cool,” then the whole idea of the show literally flew over your head.

the entirety of mahouka is just a shitty magical index rip off, something that the author doesn't even bother to deny, its just with added on nationalist trash like GATE which would be fine if it didn't break into some teenage power fantasy bit ever now and then.
the whole experiment arcs and other aspects of academy city already talked about the downsides of all the experimentations or politics and morality of this, all mahoushit did was plagiarize this,
also unlike in index or railgun, mahouka literally has no interesting characters and most of the villains are literally mooks there to get choped down by the protagonist. the story also doesn't follow the multi scale perspective that index does because the author is just that much of a worse writer, no wonder index is doing so much better in both japan and broad and mahouka has been waning in interest so much.
also frankly i actually prefer mahouka to majority of shounen trash, its just that people need to admit its a powerfantasy and own up to it.
even the original gundam was exactly that
