It's been a hot minute since I've read the original version but from what I remember, the story was rushed a bit not long after the sister showed up and, iirc, more or less got condensed to what amounts to screenshots.

Someone can correct me on that but that's about what I remember

If I remember correctly, in the original didn't she get replacement limbs grafted by the MC's teacher? Ate into her Elvish lifespan and all that? This is certainly much less bittersweet, though it's surprisingly odd to see an Elf with prostheses.

Also, it's entirely possible we aren't getting a rushed ending, but this is just a point where the author can't really add a whole lot to it. Change for the sake of change is not inherently good, and neither is adding extra content purely for the sake of padding.

For example, did anyone here like those "five minutes" on Namek in the original Dragon Ball Z?
