Make sure when they go to prison to pass along his name, MC can’t do it but the boys down stairs can.

Yay even more! Thanks for the chapter.

Basically, Kururi is like the protagonist of Knights of the Old Republic II. He consumes the magic around him to strengthen himself.
uh... no ? The MC in Kotor2 does not absorb the force. The main bad guy does.

You weren't paying attention to what Kreia was saying. Nihilus is doing it intentionally, the protagonist, a 'wound in the force', is doing it unconsciously. Unless you go the Dark Side route, then you're intentionally ripping the force out of the Jedi Masters.

Hum, I confess my memory ain't perfect. But I do clearly recall you not absorbing their power at all as light side. Since you are healing that wound the whole story.

If he absorbed the ogre energy while being attacked thats one thing, but just autohealing this heart wound and then remotely absorbing it? Our side character MC is really falling into some main character energy here.
I'm guessing the magic stone being damaged suddenly released the mana it had stored and he absorbed it, supporting the auto heal. Then, now that his mana appetite has been satiated a bit, he realized he has been starving this whole time and instinctively knew how to eat the nearby mana.

I'm having fun reading the prison takeover part but I don't really like this arc. Even though we finally find a capable villain, the disappearance of Eliza making me worried. At least Eliza can now take the heroine position properly as she already lost everything and need to stay beside Kururi
