Losing one's memory doesn't make you an utter and complete fucking moron and yet here we are. Rial is literally telling you who you are and what you did, but MC keeps saying what are you even talking about. If you don't know your past and someone else has details and is telling you, maybe you should consider listening.

He is scared that he was a bad person before, basically. And then there is Rail telling him not to open the letter so he can keep being happy. Really, it's just Rail's fault. He could have spoken anything that he put in the letter.

but knowing despite they both losing memories but their instinct and nature of be responsible and kind will eventually make them felt conflicted. MC is someone that sacrifice his own life for his land and people. The chance MC return and took his responsibility as lord again is not zero.
Rail taught it might be good he didn't remember that so he remains oblivious of his status, responsibility and land and live freely as common people. same goes with Eliza. She is a duke daughter. both of them are noble and burden with duty.

both of them are more free than ever now and maybe it the best for them. MC is overworked himself for his people and territory. Time for him retired.

I think this is complete nonsense. If someone forgets who they are, their past actions aren't erased. If they continue with the same name and the same expertise, they will eventually be exposed, and their whereabouts will be revealed. Therefore, if they truly want to forget who they are, they should hide in a village no one passes through.

"Why are you two so calm?"
Can't you see they don't recognise you?

First thing she thinks of, if he's the real one, they should raise their prices.

That's almost a Shaft head tilt.

So tsundere...

Losing one's memory doesn't make you an utter and complete fucking moron and yet here we are.
I mean, he wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed before either.

it dawns on me as I'm reading this chapter but...

...

The Isekai tag is now completely useless isn't it? This is now just straight up fantasy now that we have amnesia for the MC.

Though to be fair, the Isekai tag was useless a long time ago.

They don't need to want to forget who they are. They already forgot, completely.

How could Kururi be a happy blacksmith shop owner in a village where no one ever passes through? He's only happy when making weapons for customers, the better weapons and customers, the happier he is. He needs to live in a sizable town with adventurers, nobles, and stuff.

Being a blacksmith is fine, but a blacksmith can also be in a village, only instead of swords, he will produce small things like pickaxes, shovels, hoes, sickles, and knives. If the author really thinks that blacksmithing is just forging swords, he is mistaken. Nails that hold everything made of wood together and horses' horseshoes are also forged by blacksmiths. Being a blacksmith is not just about making swords, and I realized that he always forges the same type of swords, which is a complete disappointment.
