Mc has some weird ideas. Guess that happens when you mentally quarantine yourself from the rest of the world with terms like "normie". Mimimi(cutest nickname ever) seemed to overshare a bit this chapter. Normally, relations are about mutual disclosure over time. That's why when someone you don't know spills everything, you feel kind of awkward. Like, "what am I supposed to do with all this stuff?" Could just be that it was necessary for the plot, but this kinda sounds like a cry for help when it comes from someone not socially inept.

Isn't what "Mimimi" says about her and her friend exactly opposite to what happened in the previous chapter? Because she was seeking confrontation with the guy who was targeting her while the other girl seemed to insecure or something to speak up.
And then MC also weirdly thinks Mimimi was being protected?
Well on that occasion she was saved by Aoi. So I guess it's true in a way.
