I am surprised that Karma can't make or remake earrings that wouldn't limit magic as that was something Karma needed when she was a young mom. Didn't Karma make various magic tools and weapons or am I thinking wrong. I thought she made his sword super strong and a necklace that protects him from all danger.

If ya can for your story try and use something that has been fleshed out if it applies to the world. The spells and magics in dnd have been designed pretty well to fit a real feel fantasy world imo.
