This is such a refreshing manga to read. Haven't felt this excited in a loong time

It's magic it doesnt need to be explained but IRL recoilless rifles greatly dampen the movement of the weapon by allowing a carefully calibrated back blast.

One thing I love about this manga is the high level of consistency in worldbuilding and storycrafting

The inn is slashed open by the katana? It's still there in the next chapter and Rudy tries to take responsability for it
Rudy creates weapons on a whim? It actually costs her money and she can salvage them to create new ones
Bonus point: The huge mole butt over the entrance of the Mole's Tail inn is actually an entire mole, you can see the head on the inside of the inn!

It sounds like a bunch of minor details, but it's so much more impactful on worldbuilding than just throwing random jokes with no consequences...

you can either just make it a recoilless Rifle, or have a shoulder + Vambrace assembly that bypasses the arm. there is no problem here that engineering cant solve already.

the difference in lots of small explosives vs one large one is likely the same as with the difference between a gunpowder charge and artillery bag. the larger boomnut is providing more consistent acceleration for the duration of the burn, but does so over a longer time. but since shes trying to make lots of little ones work together over such a short distance, shes overpressuring the device and needs to actually use less for the same muzzle velocity
