I know, but I have also "liberated" many of their candles for quest completion.

It kinda makes you feel slightly bad if you've played through the Ringing Deeps storyline which gives you a bit more insight about the Kobold culture and society. =/ The poor sods are not inherently evil or good, they're kinda neutral, trying to mind their own business and scavenging whatever they can find. The side-quest where one of their grannies tells you stories is kinda nice.
