@RIP_Justice

Is that it? From what I understood, Alan wasn't cursed in the first place. Alan *made* the curse, to drive ford out, because he's an evil piece of shit. But it backfired when ford broke the curse, which has a powerful side-effect/risk in exchange for it's power I assume.

I swear to god if they show Alan as a good guy during this in any way shape or form, since he cast the hex at him in the first place (since it came back at him he has to have been the one who cast it) he 100% deserves it

Just take the hex back until you get your daughter and then break it again? There's no way these f*ckers would not think of something that simple.

Or, as soon as you confirm the safety of your daughter, beat them before the curse has a chance to get very bad.

Either way, this is a dumb situation.

Goddamnit Alan. I genuinely hoped you would try to talk it out first.

But if you're the one who cast the curse the first time around, I can see why you would be terrified to confront him for that...

MC is so god damn spineless. Holy shit. I have never seen an MC this spineless.

They cursed him to his death (he didn't die at the very end because he reversed the curse) because they wanted to drive him out of the party.

They tried to kill his childhood friends and friends' family (if not for him dousing out the fire, or them being unlucky and being hit by the debri of the inn falling apart, they could have died), and destroyed their workplace and home.

They kidnapped his daughter.

Yet he wants to 'punish' them. Seriously? How can he stand on his feet when he has no spine?

Fuck. This. Spineless. MC.

Giving this a 1/10 star rating until MC kills them both.

Can't wait to hear how Alan's just trying to accomplish some admirable thing and he's got a tragic backstory leading him to do all this then find out he was being manipulated by the True villain so that I can still not care.

No point thinking about it, he won't kill either of them. Him killing at least the sage would be the miracle here. Douglas is your typical...i don't even know how should i call his type, stupidly naive maybe...isekai/fantasy mc that for some reason is incapable to kill any human/humanoid no matter what they did or planned to do

I love how the comments are just a bunch of 12 year olds whining about how Douglas isn't a killer but he should be. Like "Just kill them and then leave"
These people were his friends at one point, and Douglas being one of the only people capable of casting "Hex Reversal" is their only go to option.
He's not going to kill them because that's not something he does. He tries to find a win-win scenario in every situation. Suddenly hoping he would just kill in front of his daughter would be a terrible choice story wise.
Should they die? Yes
Is it in character or fitting for the story for them to die? No

@Arkraith that is the big problem of the character. He is only barks and no action. In a realistic ending, he won't be able to save them both. It is stupid to think that He will accept the hex back when he has a child to take care of. What is he planning to get the hex to save his daughter? great. He will save her now, what about the future? She is a girl that was abused and probably saw dear friends and family dying in front of her cuz they wanted to sacrifice their life to save her life.

He can't win the sage because it appears that the sage has mastered that profession. He can fake to fight him while finding away for the lil bird the location of his daughter and escape the battle and get the daughter. What I don't understand is why didn't just tell him that they hate his guts, and they don't need a naive and dumb guy like him in the party ( he is not dumb tot hat point but too damn naive). This ending is so dumb lol.

We all know that Edmund is the actual bastard behind everything, right?
Just like in "Do you really think someone like you could defeat the Demon Lord," it's the cherry boy mage that's manipulating his party for his own ends.
