Well there are many groups who do similar things, like "Galaxy Degen Scans" for example.
They lock quite a few of their releases for months or even years behind paywall or on an ad infested site. And only start bulk/quick releasing when someone else starts working and releasing them or trying to build-up positive image in the community after many negative backlashes.

So, it's understandable why users on MD would be susceptible to thinking that similar situation is occurring here.
