I was on board with a low stakes magic/high school story like this, if it focused ore on a small cast of characters, but the author keeps setting up new characters with no long term payoff, I would have been fine if it featured regular dungeon crawing on the side, as long as it built up those characters, everything is feeling so fickle, like it could go in many ways but none of them in a way that feels like is building up to something on the back of its past.
What is glasses girl "arc", for example or growth? Just her getting more friends and smaller breasts?
How has her characterization changed?

It feels like we get characters to fill a quota, we got a GF so we sort of "skip" that step because the two hardly seem a couple, they hadn't had any progress, it feels more like a way to make a slightly more complicated harem.

I am thankful for the translation, but I feel like I should put this on hold for 5 chapters or so.

I can see where you're coming from especially lately with hot rarely chapters get updated in a bunch of different series and all the point one point two nonsense. To me are they really in a relationship and making progress because I haven't seen any of it to me it just seems like it's her way of calling Dibs it prevents those who are actually interested in him getting close to him.

I just hate the fact that it's basically 100% beneficial to them without them giving him anything in return. Like, the boy is most likely near burst every single time with every single girl but they don't really do anything for him.

It was implied one time she gave him a handy afterwards but it happened once, is like the author forgot and their relationship doesn't look they have gone that far anyway.
Is like we can only live in the extremes:
either make the harem boring and one sided, or a non stop orgy, is annoying.
I think authors, but I blame the audience too, misunderstand what fan service could be. Something that services the story positively can make the fans happy too and builds up to greater things.
