Unrelated, but the same idea is also what's behind the idea of platonic love. You move from the love of the beautiful body to the love of the beautiful soul to the love of the form of beauty itself. It's been bastardized in modern culture into meaning "we're just friends", but platonic love was in fact the highest form of love to Plato (and not necessarily without love for the body anyways). We are finnaly addressing the president guy's "genius" idea that is actually kinda stupid.
People don't only prepare for fights they know will happen. That's the whole reason some people carry personal defense itens like brass knuckles, pepper spray, batons and guns.
And even if the fight's dates are not set, these three months people know they will get into multiple fights, so why wouldn't people prepare even more?
It's like I said, if there are no rules, what stops some motherfucker from carrying multiple weapons on him at all times? What stops someone with some money to recruit bodyguards?

Also, weren't both of their moves during the fight totally legal for a MMA match? It's not like the MC needed pocket sand and a kick to the balls to defeat the old man.
